Our objetive

Campos de Esperanza is an international cooperation initiative implemented by World Vision Mexico, implemented jointly with the organizations Fund for Peace, in Veracruz, and SiKanda, in Oaxaca. Our goal is to prevent child labor and promote the improvement of working conditions in migrant farming communities in Oaxaca and Veracruz in the sugarcane and coffee sectors

Our work

Incidence:

Coordinate with the Government the capacity building of public officials at the federal, state and municipal levels in terms of child labor and compliance with labor rights.

Private sector:

Strengthen the knowledge and skills of agricultural producers and workers in terms of child labor and safe working conditions.

Communication:

Promote the change of behavior in the communities so that they can carry out actions in prevention of child labor and the fulfillment of labor rights.

Education:

Provide education services to children and adolescents to increase school retention of migrant farming communities.

What is child labor?

Dangerous Child Labor.All activity or occupation that has or may have detrimental effects on the safety, health and moral development of children and adolescents. For example: exposed to toxic substances, dangerous processes, transport of heavy loads, among others. (STPS, 2014) (STPS, 2014)

  • Oaxaca: Acatlán Pérez de Figueroa and San Miguel Soyaltepec
  • Veracruz: Zongolica and Tezonapa.
