30% do it in agricultural activities. \u00a0<\/li><li>Campos de Esperanza is a World Vision Mexico project, funded by the United States Department that seeks to prevent child labor in agricultural fields in the states of Oaxaca and Veracruz.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>The <\/strong><strong>89.4<\/strong><strong>% of children and adolescents who work do so in non-permitted occupations, and more than 1 million do so in dangerous activities. <\/strong>Among the dangerous activities are work in the field in which they may be exposed to toxic substances, dangerous processes, long working hours, dehydration, transport of heavy loads, among others, which can impair the development of girls and boys.<\/p><p>Another of the major problems to which children and adolescents are exposed when starting work activities is school dropout: <strong>29.3 millones de poblaci\u00f3n infantil de 5 a 17 a\u00f1os, 2.1 millones no asisten a la escuela (7.2%).<\/strong><\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.camposdeesperanza.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/IMG_9806-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.camposdeesperanza.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/IMG_9806-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"5184\" height=\"3456\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.camposdeesperanza.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/IMG_9806-1.jpg 5184w, https:\/\/www.camposdeesperanza.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/IMG_9806-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.camposdeesperanza.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/IMG_9806-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.camposdeesperanza.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/IMG_9806-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 5184px) 100vw, 5184px\" \/><\/a><\/p><p><strong>What is World Vision doing?<\/strong><\/p><p>World Vision, through the Campos de Esperanza Project, will carry out actions to raise awareness and prevent child labor by addressing this issue from four approaches: impact on the three levels of government, work with the private sector, communication for development and education.<\/p><p>Within the framework of World Child Labor Day, World Vision, in coordination with government institutions, civil and private society, will carry out events and activities at the municipal and community level to improve the quality of life of children and adolescents in Mexico. Among the institutions with which he works are the Government of the State of Veracruz, the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, SIPINNA Veracruz, the Executive Secretariat of SIPINNA Oaxaca, the Government Secretariat of Oaxaca and the National Chamber of the Sugar and Alcohol Industry.<\/p><ul><li><strong>Conferencia Contra el Trabajo Infantil en Oaxaca<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p>Oaxaca, 7 de junio 2019<\/p><p>A trav\u00e9s del Proyecto Campos de Esperanza, la organanizaci\u00f3n SiKanda y World Vision invitan a la conferencia \u201cLa Educaci\u00f3n como herramienta contra el Trabajo Infantil\u201d, a partir del del Diplomado de \u201cEstrategias para Mejorar el Bienestar de la Ni\u00f1ez en la Educaci\u00f3n B\u00e1sica\u201d, que se est\u00e1 realizando en coordinaci\u00f3n con el Instituto Estatal de Educaci\u00f3n P\u00fablica de Oaxaca, la Defensor\u00eda de los Derechos Humanos del Pueblo de Oaxaca y el Gobierno del Estado de Oaxaca.<\/p><ul><li><strong>Inauguraci\u00f3n de Mural contra el Trabajo Infantil en Oaxaca<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p>San Miguel Soyaltepec, Oaxaca, 8 de junio 2019.<\/p><p>World Vision en coordinaci\u00f3n con la organizaci\u00f3n SiKanda realizar\u00e1 la inauguraci\u00f3n del mural contra el trabajo infantil en una comunidad del municipio de San Miguel Soyaltepec, Oaxaca. El mural fue elaborado por el art\u00edsta voluntario Fredy Cruz como parte de las actividades planeadas por el marco del D\u00eda Mundial Contra el Trabajo Infantil. En el mural vienen representados elementos culturales de la regi\u00f3n para respetar las costumbres y tradiciones de los habitantes, al tiempo de compartor el mensaje de sensibilizaci\u00f3n. Este mural es el primero que se realiza como parte de un plan y ruta art\u00edstica que se llevar\u00e1 a cabo en las comunidades donde se implementa el proyecto.
